Guest Blogger: The Fab Miss B

Today, Becky from The Fab Miss B delivers part 2 of her guest blogging.

Jimena asked me to write about where I find inspiration. I really believe inspiration is all around us! It's just a matter of taking the time to notice it. I look for inspiration in the ordinary details of my daily life.

I love to ride my bicycle to the library- I just picked up The Barefoot Contessawith Ava Gardner and Humphrey Bogart. The fashions in old films are always perfectly executed and it is so much fun to admire (and then copy)!

I love to wear and surround myself with color- even on my plate...

I love to eat and prepare delicious things and I am lucky to have a husband who loves to cook. Lately, he has been teaching himself to cook Indian foodand its been lovely to taste his creations.

I live in Las Vegas, which is chalk full of wonderful kitsch, like the collection of battered old neon signs at the Neon Boneyard. There are still lots of things on my to see list- including the Folies Bergere (which, sadly, will soon be closing) and the Liberace Museum.

Years of working at a Chicago florist left me with an incurable love of fresh flowers and plants. I like to keep a fresh flowers on my desk and pots of herbs on the windowsills. Someday I'll have a whole lovely garden.

I love to people watch (and duck watch!) at public parks and I use my camera to record ideas to use when I am back in my studio. What about you? Where do you find inspiration? How do you gather and use that inspiration in your art making?

I loved reading about your inspiration!

Where do I find mine? Just about everywhere :P I'm ultra attuned to the jewelry I see around me, I notice that before I notice clothes when I'm watching tv! I also notice color combination's, patterns of any sort, and I've been known to steal concepts from other the arts like using a cross stitch pattern to design a bracelet...
