School's Out??? Yeah, I don't think so....

Having the summer off sounds great. Well, except when your summer starts until July 1st. Yes, that's what's gonna happen to me and all my classmates.
Because of the influenza outbreak we got two full weeks out of school: The first week of April and the first week of May. Although some of those days were actually free days because of national holidays, we still missed about 6 days of school, and we had to make up for all those lost classes. Six more school days don't sound good; six more days to prepare exams and essays does. Then, however, we got the new calendar from the school authorities...

Because they had forgotten to count those official free days towards the total hours of class, they added more days to the school calendar. In total, the last day of exams is two weeks later than before the influenza break!!! That means that June 30 I still have an essay to hand in. My friends from other universities are already on vacation as of last Wednesday.... That's not good.

I know, I know... I'm complaining too much. But those two weeks off in April/May were themselves exhausting. We couldn't go out; I advanced some homework. They were no real vacations. And now my real vacations are being cut short. Sigh...

On top of that, the end of this semester is crazy. I have 4 big essays to hand in and 5 difficult exams to study for. And they are all back to back. I have about two days between each of them to do the next one.

And to top it all off: My birthday is NOW right in the middle of my finals week.

So, my plans for the summer?? Well, stay home and write; go to school and solve exams; research in the library, and well, party like it's 1999...
And then maybe get a job.

**So that said, I'm preparing some scheduled posts right now because I'm not going to be able to come around a lot. Specially this next week.

The moment you think you understand a great work of art, it's dead for you.
- Oscar Wilde

I beg to differ... I think that when you think you understand a work of art you appreciate it more. You feel like you have a bond with the artist, an inside joke.
Understanding it does take the fun away from pondering the meaning of art, but there so much art to ponder!! Better to have inside jokes...

Guess what?

I'm writing this from my mobile. So exciting!! Be back later with a full story on it...
